CAN YOU TELL, HEAVEN FROM HELL?

TUCSON ARIZONA: 1999-2004

We lived in Arizona until 2005 and were proud to be working for Texas Instruments. We considered ourselves the happiest, luckiest and in-love couple on earth!
We studied and worked hard, but even that was an adventure for us. Everything was fun and productive.  We would attend the LA fitness gym sometimes 3 time a week. Every evening, when the Hellish Tucson Sun had gone down, we would go for long walks on the University of Arizona campus - where we both studied. Not too many people share the same background in accounting, computer science and electronic CAD...so we had a lot of geeky philosophical conversations!

I loved to walk, it was my addiction! We would take a 10 mile hikes in Bear Canyon under the 100 degree sun! Weekends simply didn't have enough time -walks to the park, tennis, Frisbee, football,swimming...  For a break, we were gathering our books and frequenting local coffee-shops for a cool ice-mocha and some light studying -or planning our next adventure. We used to travel at every opportunity - at least one or two major trips per year to places like Mexico, Jamaica, Russia, Italy, Pacific Coast. We would skip out on weekends or short vacations to escape the searing heat of Tucson and feel more romantic. We would simply throw a couple bags into the Jeep and drive to San Diego, the Grand Canyon, Flagstaff, Show-low, Pinetop, Nogales. We were not at all rich and everything was done budget-class... but who needs an expensive hotel if there is so much to  explore!

BEAUTIFUL GERMANY: 2005- JULY 2008

In January 2005, we were transferred with our jobs from TI AZ to TI Germany.  They needed both a Sr. CAD Engineer (my husband) and a junior Layout CAD engineer (me). 

FLYING TO GERMANY - REJECTED BY CLINICS

When we got to Germany after a 2-day flight, I was in serious pain. The public health insurance withheld my health-insurance card for nearly 3 months, even though we both were paying 14% of our income to them.  Doctors refused to see me with no insurance card. I ended up working through pain, getting much worse, in the time that I could have taken leave, and recovered.  I could'nt quit, because I had an 18 month contract with TI, and we would have to pay them back for the transfer.

The Alpha Klinik in Munich that used me for a non disclosed ('experimental' according to literature) procedure called Shaving Chondroplasty on my healthy knee without my consent or knowledge - went into bankruptcy 2 years after - due to dozens of lawsuits (by Germans). My knee is now permanently ruined - when it turned out, my only problem was instability due to weakness after being bed-ridden 6 months. The official report of German investigation from BLÄK org (Bavarian national physician chamber) stated that the diagnosis was wrong and all 5 procedures that were done on me - were done on a  healthy knee.   Moreover, it was officially confirmed by BLÄK investigation that all facts and evidence prove the shaving chondroplasty procedure was never mentioned to us before the surgery in any form (emails, reports, cost plans), and thus never documented, not consented to, and not indicated.  Performing a procedure without a patient's consent and education is apparently a criminal offense in Germany. 

My lumbar artificial disc ProDisc surgery in Straubing Germany, was found by MDK investigator in Germany to be a Grave Error on multiple factors.  They stated: "for completely incomprehensible, medically not understandable reasons, it has been contravened grossly against the indication criteria for implantation of spinal disc prothesis".

      After all this nightmare, after begging our company for months to let us come back to USA, finally, around a year later we received a 'green light' for a transfer, but only on our own expenses (cost us $27,000).

We have just settled into a new home... and my husband was terminated...

Hello! Welcome to our family Web site. We hope this site will enable family and friends, near and far, to stay connected, and understand why we never visit or seem distant. We also feel an obligation to tell our story, so that others may avoid our fate!

The other pages here describe how I was destroyed by opportunistic surgeons: how I was used for profits, undisclosed knee procedure without my consent or knowledge (shaving chondroplasty), wrongfully indicated spine procedure and possibly used for training to promote a controversial medical device (Prodisc) whose FDA trials were corrupted, how I then spent a year bed-ridden in pain after the implanting surgeon denied any problem, and then was denied medical care by certain clinics in Munich solely due to my U.S. Citizenship, was then forced to go to LA to have the Prodisc removed (a life-threatening operation), where an American surgeon later wrote that the Prodisc can not be removed as he did, without serious trauma ... and the tangled web of connections between all of these 'players'.  They are ALL connected.  They are all buddies, co-investors and inventors, working the system to use people like you and me for experimentation and profit.

The whole nightmare can only be comprehended by the picture-story 'From Heaven to Hell', which really shows how one disaster lead to another.

Unbelievably, I was always in the wrong place, wrong time, wrong situation.Thanks for visiting!

Above is our adorable Persian treasure! He was "found" and acquired under a rather coincidental set of circumstances that had a side connection to our story. His name is Karma... I hope through Karma, we helped his owner to avoid my fate... We decided to keep his name! 

He arrived to our place after a 4 hour airplane-cargo-bay trip as a tiny 10 week kitten! We were rather concerned how he was going to handle the terrifying journey - it being the first time he was separated from his mom and siblings. We expected to see a scared wailing poor thing. On the contrary, he came out of the basket and started curiously walking around our living room - as if he owned the place! He found his kitty liter, which was astonishing (and always finds it, no matter where we put it); he learned within minutes where the kitchen was; and he started playing with us like he had always known us, and had not just endured an infintely long, terrifying trip in the bowels of a howling monster!

It turns out, Karma is a fearless warrior!  He attacks the vacuum - while its running!  No tree, wall or dresser is too high for him to conquer!  Check out more of Karma's antics here!
